Butagumi

Bentoville welcomed guest chefs from Tokyo's acclaimed Butagumi restaurant for a multi-course tonkatsu feast. Guests savored locally raised panko-crusted Kurobuta pork, delicately fried to golden perfection with dipping sauce brought directly from Japan.

The menu also featured sweet and sour cherry tomatoes, “jade-style” stew with snap peas and blue shrimp, and a refreshing strawberry sorbet for dessert, all artfully crafted to complement the rich flavors of the tonkatsu.

Classic comfort food — elevated

Within Tokyo's restaurant scene, Butagumi is a renowned tonkatsu destination, known for its exacting standards. For this Food Concert, the chefs chose the finest Kurobuta pork from Bansley's Berkshire Ridge Farm, right here in Arkansas.

This concert marked Chef Satoshi Oh-ishi’s debut serving tonkatsu outside of Japan, bringing Butagumi’s dedication to quality and tradition to a new audience.
